They say that every plastic toothbrush you've ever used is still out there, in a landfill or the ocean. Plastic takes decades to break down. So we got to thinking... there's got to be a better way! And then we came upon these biodegradable toothbrushes that are made from bamboo which is a sustainable material that grows relatively quickly in China and parts of Asia.

Charcoal-Infused Nylon Bristles

The soft nylon bristles on the bamboo toothbrushes are infused with binchotan charcoal. Charcoal is said to have natural cleansing properties that draw out impurities. The wavy handle is solidly strong and ergonomic; it feels comfortable and sturdy in your hand.

Using & Discarding your Bamboo Toothbrush

After brushing, rest the brush horizontally on the counter or a cup to allow it to air dry fully and extend the life of the bamboo.

At the end of its life, use pliers to remove the nylon bristles which are not compostable. The shaft of the bamboo toothbrush can be composted and should be discarded in the Green Bin or compost. Et voila! No plastic toothbrush will be floating around in the sea for decades to come.
